• Holiday weekend coming up!

  It's been quite a week! I had a record number of phone call orders today for some reason and 5 Expedited orders in between all the normal orders! Luckily my new nanny helped me with shipping today and did THREE post office runs all in one day! New Generation ERGOs are selling like mad. All the other ERGO sites have sold out already, even the main ERGO site. I kept ordering large quantities every week so I think I'll be safe for another week or so. Hopefully they'll get their new ERGOs in next week and I can order more! :) I've been doing my best to get all your carriers shipped by the holiday weekend. All of you who pre-ordered the new Patapums through me will be getting them tomorrow or by Saturday. This was quite the manuever for me, I decided to send them directly from Italy via expedited TNT shipment. Since I ordered over 200 Patapums, my delivery of the brand new Patapum design went through a slower shipment (one week) than normal. Luckily, it looks like I'll be getting them in tomorrow, all Patapums have made it safely through customs. So if you ordered a Patapum and receive it direct tomorrow, I'll be shipping out your free accessories tomorrow and you should hopefully get those by Saturday. I have hired a book-keeper to help me with the bookkeeping. She will be meeting with me tomorrow morning to talk over the business. I plan to have her help out every week. There is just no time for me to keep track of everything. I also hope to find time to organize and eventually hire a full-time shipper/stock person and customer service to answer the phones. I love talking to you all, but there is only one of me to manage everything right now. I wish I could clone myself. Tomorrow I look forward to receiving the huge new Patapum shipment, some FreeHands in new designs, and Saturday some TaylorMade slings and Mobys in black. • Babywearing Calendar Contest

• Babywearing Picnic day

  This morning I tried on for the first time the New Generation ERGO baby carrier, before this, my husband used it and then we loaned it out to someone who wanted to try it out. I had some time to try it out. It was a bit harder to get on than my Mei Tais with all the buckles and straps, but once it was on, it was time to have some fun! I cranked up some Red Hot Chili Peppers while I tackled the mounting pile of dishes, all while dancing and little Satori laughing on my back. I had a few orders that were actually neighbors of mine so I will be personally delivering an ERGO today! My first time ever to save on shipping, hehe. She lives 5 minutes away. After that, I have a babywearing picnic to go to! I hope to get lots of pictures of some new carriers and our new Storch wraps that arrived yesterday. Otherwise, this weekend is very busy, as my husband is on a project which is going live soon after many months of hard work, so basically he is working all weekend, as am I. • 100 members today!

  The ATB community has hit 100 members today! That's always an exciting time. Keep in mind that I'm not promoting the community yet, so to me it was very slow to hit 100 (on another community I run, I was used to getting 50 new members everyday). But out of those 100 members, I am loving that there are so many wonderful and talented mamas that care for their babies in the most nurturing ways. I love seeing new pictures everyday and helping build a useful database of baby carriers so even more mamas and daddies begin to wear their babies. I've also realized that I've hit a point where I can't be a mama full-time and run this business full-time, both all by myself. So I've been interviewing nannies to help out full-time. This makes me very sad, as my baby is the most important thing to me, I am literally attached to her 90% day and night except when she plays. She sleeps on my back in a Mei Tai while I ship during the day, she sleeps in a wrap on my front when I ship at night. She hangs out in a sling or pouch while we drop off your packages at the post office three times a day. :) She sleeps resting on top of my lap (no carrier) late at night when I should be in bed but responding to emails. It is going to be very sad to let go of my precious baby even for an hour or so as someone else cares for her during the day. I guess what I'm trying to say is, Attached to Baby is growing at an unbelievably phenomenol rate. I still plan on providing unparalleled customer service, same-day shipping, and a wide selection of carriers. I went into this business giving it my all and I don't plan on stopping now. I want to thank my customer service people that help out on the LivePerson on the site. They help out so much for the questions that shoppers have as they shop. You see Cooper's profile on the main page, I'm a bit behind on getting the other profile's up, but there is also Angie (tribegirl) and Tammi (Tambola/justpickles). I also have a local friend Beth (haakadoodle) helping out with the local mamas needing a carrier. All these women are active members on theBabywearer.com and all are as passionate about their babies and babywearing as I am. • I am floored by these beautiful slings!

  I went to a Play Group and chatted with some local LLL mamas some of which who babywear (even sold a FreeHand today). When I got home I had 10 boxes lined up outside my door! I took them all downstairs to the inventory room and opened them and I am absolutely FLOORED by how GORGEOUS some of these carriers are! I can't wait to take pictures! It will take me awhile to add them to my inventory and get pictures up. I have never been this excited about a shipment day. :) I even had to call up a bunch of people because I couldn't contain myself, hehe. Oh, and talks are in the works of an Attached to Baby retail store in the South of the Suburbs area of Minnesota. Perhaps mid-2006 timeframe, but there is definitely sufficient interest. Oh... • HUGE Orders this week - including the New Generation ERGO Baby Carrier

  Okay I'm going to overuse a word in this post, but bear with me... I placed a big order for the New Generation ERGO Baby Carrier today! It has a new, improved design and colors are now black, cranberry, and camel. I got a few accessories too like the ERGO Diaper Bag and Front Pouch with the new colors.. If you'd like to place your order before they run out, you may do so! They are being shipped to me and I am hoping to get them the end of this week. Also new orders on their way being shipped to me are: FreeHands in new fabric choices! CuddlyWraps, TaylorMade slings in all types, cxd baby Silk Fashion Mavens and Hand-beaded slings, a HUGE order of Sutemi Packs, a HUGE order of Moby Wraps, a HUGE, HUGE order of Hotslings, and a HUGE order of New Native Baby Carriers. I'm still waiting on my Hug-a-bubs, it is so hard to order from other countries, there seems to be tiny issues that impede their arrival. Oooh, and I can't forget - NEW Sachi Carriers in both high-end silk brocades and some cotton prints. I also placed a big order for more AngelPacks - both FancyPacks and CasualPacks. I just placed another order of Oopa Baby slings in both Silk and Pique- my biggest yet. And I am planning a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE order for the new Patapums and Patapum Toddler carriers! Wow.
