Hi There,

I am the proud Mama of seven-week old Julia. We started our baby wearing adventure with the Bjorn (which almost feels like a dirty word now). I then took a sling class to learn how to use my hand-me-down Maya ring sling. I am in love. I absolutely love wearing my daughter. I still have a lot to learn- and truth be told it will be a lot easier when the hot summer days come to an end. I can't wait to cuddle close with her, walking around on a crisp fall day.

I have aspirations of trying to make my own, but for now I'm hungry to try another style of sling- maybe a wrap would be fun...

Oh- can anyone tell me how to share pictures?

Hello,

I'm Diana, new here too. Congratulations on your baby.

 

I started with some carriers much worst than the bjorn (some horrible evenflos and a hand-me down Nojo). When I got the bjorn it was like heaven. And here in Mexico, only one store carries the bjorn and I paid serious money for it. I used it for about 2 months. Now DS is 13 months and we use a patapum. He is walking now do we don't do much wearing around the house anymore, unless we need a bit of control

Welcome, I also started with the Bjorn but then found pouches and mei tais and then ring slings and now wraps!  It's so much fun.  I look forward to seeing your pics and talking to you!

I (just like almost everyone) started with the Bjorn.  Well, actually I started with the Dr Sears - whatever its called way too stretchy wrap with a plastic ring on it. (then got a Bjorn)  I could never tie the Dr Sears sling properly to where I felt it was secure because it never felt like it had any "grab".

Aah - I was so inexperienced then...if I only I knew then how obsessed I would become with babywearing!
