    New Babywearing Mommy... Need help.

I currently have a HotSlings pouch; however, my ds, Rylan & I are having some issues with it. It seems that, while it's the correct size & everything, I just can't open it wide enough to get him in there, or he wiggles too much. Once I get him in he's fine, or seems to be as he usually falls fast asleep, but it's getting him in it that's the problem. He either looks like he's too far up or he's screaming his head off because I'm trying to get him in it. Also, I am just afraid of dropping him while trying to put him in there (as the instructions show a woman doing it one-handed). Any tips?

    Thanks ladies!

Did you check that his bottom is lined up with the seam? If it's too tight while trying to get him in, but fine once he's in, maybe you need to have it a little higher in front before you put him in? Can you post a pic, that is usually really helpful. You could try the customer service, online chat to walk you thru it as you go maybe (I think they would help)?

We have similar issues off and on with our hotslings.  I ended up going up a size from what was recommended and it seems to be better.  But I think a lot of it is just how we get lined up and how pliable Aiden is when I am smashing him up in there.  He is a pretty big boy--about 18lbs--and sitting newborn style is very tight.  I hope we will have more success when he is in the hip carry.
