My dd has a love affair with my breasts. She will pull down my top, dig her hand into my bra and pull out the breast, giggle with joy and then start nursing. Sometimes for a nano second, other times she's actually thirsty and will stay latch on for a few minutes.  Oh, and while she's latched on, she likes to take her other hand and play with the other breast.  Infact, sometimes at night when she's about to wake up, just holding my breast will get her back to sleep. It's true love for sure.

 

All this is ok at home, but what do I when we are out, she's in a front carry and trying to pull down my top?!? It's not always convenient for me to stop what I'm doing and nurse her on the spot. Yes, I can do it while she's in the wrap, but again, sometimes I can't do it on the spot! Suggestions? Perhaps, I should get her out of the habit of pulling down my top and playing with my breasts? But, I can hear the cries just thinking about that. She's pretty stubborn :)

Have you considered getting a nursing necklace? Perhaps it may help and give her something else to touch and focus on.

I second the nursing necklace idea.  Or maybe for a week or so wear high necked shirts to get her out of the habit.  Maybe the two of these in combination would work well.
