ok so my dd is 2 and she will climb anything  she even knows how to find her fingering to hang off stuff she scares me to death my husband has started calling her the family tragity waiting to happen   i took her to the park and she was climbing the rock wall better then the 8 yr olds  thats just freaks me out what do i do  i dont know how to let her know she can get hurt esp climbing things at home like on water bottles and hanging off the side of the breakfast counter

My DS is the same way.  I worry about taking my eyes off of him because I find him on top of everything.  He has been this way pretty much since he was mobile.  I have no advice, because I haven't figured out what to do about him.  I just try to keep an eye on him and constantly tell him to get down.  Oh, and make occasional trips to the doctor's office for durabonding.

He got durabonded twice in about a 6 week period when he first started cruising.  My mother keeps telling me that the scars will look manly when he gets older.   Ugh.  I am pretty immune to it at this point, though.  I do feel like I spend my days saying "Max get down! Max sit down!" etc.  :)

Sounds like my DD! She LOVES to climb the rock walls at the park and the other parents come running over to "catch' her. I have to reassure them she's fine... she has 2 older siblings.  She's so petite for her age I'm sure that doesnt help, lol.  Jo was like that too... she started wlakign at 7 months and climbing on top of things at 11. She was in the infant room at a daycare center (I was a preschool teacher) and they had to get a state variance for her at 1 year so she could move into the toddler room (normally done at 16 months).. she was climbing and running accross the toy shelves int eh infant room at 11 months. She still hasnt slowed down and she's 7. She went kiddie bungie jumping when she was 3.  (they put them in harnests and let them take of on a big trampoline with bungies, they really sail and she LOVES it). I'm raisng a pack of daredevils.
