    Maria Blois BABYWEARING book

Wow, what a great resource. I really like the book. I haven't finished it yet, but it has tons of information. The advantages of babywearing, types of carriers, how to use them, the history, and more. I was able to meet Maria Blois at the LLL conference last week. Maria is very nice and what a great experience to get to sit in on her babywearing session. This book is a "must have" in my opinion. Are there any other people that have read the book yet?

I just read the whole book!

I was sitting at the hair stylist getting a perm and read it. And passed my card around to all the pregnant sytlists and new mamas!

    Hey Gretchen,
I loved the frequently asked questions at the end. They are questions that people ask often. It was nice to hear some good responses.

    Re: Maria Blois BABYWEARING book

The book club sounds fun. I found it very interesting that Maria did not put the storch down as a wrap. It has been around for 30 years and no mention. She has lots of new carriers listed like Sachi, gypsy mama, but no storchenwiege.

    Gretchen,
Tell Thomas, Will, and Nick that Haakon says hi. He loved playing at your house. Your such a cool mom to have a slide in your basement.

Yes, that was one of the things I did not like.   Only slings on her radar were included.  Perhaps she should have collaborated with someone who had used more brands?

We can start a group if there is enough interest or maybe just have a chat at a later date!  If you are interested, please post here which method you would prefer.

    Cooper, why?

Can we discuss what you did not like about it?

I am not done with it, but I found some things I would change, too.

It really isn't one particular thing that I dislike-- My mom always said if I can't say something nice DON'T say nothing at all!

Katrina, I am curious. What part of the book didn't you like?
