I've heard that the waves are the thinnest of the didys-do you think so? I've only touched one briefly so couldn't compare to anything else. Do you think it's close in thin-ness to an ER or a bali breeze or still a fair amt thicker/heavier?

I know they have a more open weave so not sure how this would compare to an ER.

I'm a little wrap obsessed lately and not even good at them! I have 3 lengths of ERs and like them so far but have lots of practicing to do. But I so love the look of the red and purple waves....just wondering if I should cave and get one during the sale....? (ps I already shopped once today LOL)

I have an Ellaroo and a Purple Waves Didy and I would say the Ellaroo is definitely thinner. The Purple Waves is thinner than the striped Didys though!

The waves are tricky because of the fabric variation. One wave is a stripped didy and one wave is a jaquard. So over all it is not thinner than a jaquard, but it is airy. I hope that made sence.

Hi Ann,

The waves are super thin. I find my ER just a tad bit thinner. But, my silver waves and aqua waves are the thinnest of the didys. I would say it is very, very thin, almost comparable to an ER!

The purple waves is another beast all together. It is thicker then all the other waves.

So, is the smooth wave like a jaquard Didy?  I have an aubergibe waves asnd just love the way the smoother, solid purple wave feels.

Yes, Ellaroos are thinner than Waves didys, but I personally don't find the difference that big. I happily give up a bit extra thin-ness for the super comfort of a didy

BTW, I did hear that the purple waves are not as thin as the other waves though.

The waves is thinner than the stripes, but I am struggilng getting it soft - but now the "stripes" part of it is flannelly soft, but the other part is still rough.

Thin though, which is nice since summer is coming up - but I think Ella Roo is thinner! As everyone else has said too

If thinness is mission-critical, actually I'd go with GM bali baby breeze, thinner than ER... I think I agree w/ Poli regarding ER vs didy waves for a non-tiny baby, but ask me again in July ;)
