Anyone have recommendations on the best way to carry an older baby (11 months) in a Hotsling when baby falls asleep?

You can try a cradle carry I guess, kinda hard with those long legs and arms some kids don't like though -- I can do a cradle carry with my zolo sling if DS falls asleep nursing. Or a hip carry or a modified carry (where baby is T2T and sort of on your hip) is what I do and I have even done a toddler back carry in a hotsling when DS was tired then once he waqs asleep I switched to Tummy 2 Tummy

I think Jack just kind of automatically leaned into me and layed on me, he could sink down enough into the pouch for us to both be comfy (I carried him on my hip in a HS all summer which was the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy and I never felt like I had to do anything extra to hold him in there.

Nathan could tolerate a cradle carry with his feet hanging out if he was really tired or feeling sick.  Rarely he fell asleep in a hip carry or T2T and would snuggle up/into me (love those moments--*sigh* ) but eventually his head would flop back or to the side.

Oh, I'm not sure this would be very comfortable long term...I suppose if baby is tired enough. But I would suggest getting a wrap if sleeping is expected. I love the Hotsling for in and out of stores quick but long outings = wrap!

You've gotta go for it. My dd is 10 months and is no longer comfortable to carry in one shoulder carriers for more than a few minutes. I probably wouldn't be babywearing anymore if it weren't for the wrap. It rocks! Keep working with it.
