    Signing Times DVDs

How many signing times dvds are there now?  13?

We have #4 and #5 ... I think my mom is buying ds #7, #8, #9 as his first b-day gift. (what a nice grandma Smile )

Anyone out there own them all?

Which are your favorites ... which have your kids learned the most from?

    Blessings~ Heather

    Re: Signing Times DVDs

    Heya Heather! :)

Sorry we couldn't get out your package yesterday, Paul wasn't here, but he gift-wrapped it today and it will go out today. :)

As for my favorites, I LOVE #7 - The Farm one. Satori loves them all and she actually knows more signs that we do and suprises us. Just last night she showed me "bat" and "rhinocerous" and we definitely never showed her them! She learns from all of them, and yes we own them all, along with other signing videos, but Signing Times are our favorite! They were recommended to us by mamas in this very forum! ;)

The only thing she's having trouble with is colors, everything is "Yellow" and she says it with her cute little voice. She thinks Yellow means colors in general, she asks for "Yellow" when looking at my markers. I'll have to show her the Color Signing Times DVD a few more times, hehe.

That would be me!  DS just learned how to talk last month (TG!) but until then Signing Time kept me at least slightly sane.  :D

Big Smile  Wow we just watched DVD #3 ... till now all we had seen was #4 & #5 and the baby signing times ... so I'm guessing #s1,2,3 must be a fair amount older than numbers 4 and up.   She looks so different and no tape on her fingures!  Still very fun ... my kids love these!

    Re: Signing Times DVDs

We have the full set of 13 plus the baby signing time.

    1-3 are absolutely essential.

I really enjoy 4-6... and number 6 has a song that always makes me bawl. :)  Of those, 4 and 6 are more "essential" to me than 5 for a toddler.

7-9 are fun, because they're all animals. But not "critical" for us. Shiny enjoys them, but they're not my first pick and I don't have 'em all memorized the way I do 1-4 and 6.

    10 and 12 are good, 11 and 13 I haven't watched yet.

Baby Signing Time... I find it... cheesy. But Shiny loves it--she actually started laughing like crazy at the Diaper Dance. It is *definitely* more on her level than mine, whereas the others are very mom-friendly.

For us, Signing time is a survival tool--Shiny was hard of hearing for her first 16-17 months, and although she now has normal hearing, signing helps reinforce language and helped reduce our "missing the window" on her language development. Plus, she loves it.
