Attached to Baby is completely functional and we even had our very first real customer yesterday and some family customers today! As a reward to my first customer, she received a $10 gift certificate.
It looks like we are slowly gaining a few members in the past few days. I need to finish a few design/style decisions and then in late April or May I will start advertising heavily. I believe this community will be a thousand strong or more by summer. I'll be running promotions, contests, all sorts of fun things to promote community activity.
For now, don't be afraid to post in the forums, upload a few of your baby pictures, or share your thoughts in your blog! The first thousand members automatically get free blogs and photo galleries, after that they'll have to be active members before they can request a photo gallery.
As I expect this site to become popular someday, along with that it will become expensive to run. I intend to keep it free for you all, just keep my store in mind when it comes to buying a sling, cloth diapers, etc... Part of my profits will go towards hosting this community.
In a few weeks I'll be looking for Editors, Publishers to help write articles for the site. I'll be looking for Forum Moderators to help out with the forums. I'll be looking for babywearing experts to help others find the perfect sling. And of course I'll offer fun perks for those that help out!
