Sachi vs. Kozy ..... oh am I addicted!

OK, I've only had a mei tai for a few weeks I LOVE IT and already I'm thinkning "I could use one in another color, too."  Is there are support group for this kind of addiction???  dh sure hopes soWink [;)]

Seriously I'm looking at a Kozy and a Sachi .... I want a blueish color, also need more head support for the sleepy babe .... has anyone tried either of these or both?  Which is more comfy?

Thanks for your expert oppinionsBig Smile [:D]

Re: Sachi vs. Kozy ..... oh am I addicted!

I LOVE my Kozy and and working to find the love for my Sachi (it's an old style).  My Sachi is a beautiful brocade, but it's still new to me.  The Kozy, on the other hand, I've had for awhile.  But I do remember having love at first wearing.  It's also the one my DH prefers.  Regarding the head support, I do think it's over-rated (IMHO).

Either one would work well.  Either one holds great re-sale value if you decide it isn't working.  Won't be able to help much if you decide you like 'em both.  I suppose I could start a 12-step program.  NAH!

The sachi would be the next step up for you. The body is bigger than a Freehand. The main difference is the arched head and it is taller. It also has the padded leg rails on the side. The Kozy is bigger bodied than the Sachi. It has less padding in the shoulder straps. I really like them both. The kozy fits my 2 year old very well. The Sachi is just so pretty (I have the green brocade ATB exclusive). Both the Sachi and Kozy have angled straps. Your Freehand has bottom straps that come out straight. I don't notice a difference, but some people do.

Re: Sachi vs. Kozy ..... oh am I addicted!

My first MT was a regular BH which I found I needed a longer body. I went with a Sachi and lurve it. It took me a few times to get the straps tight enough and get my back used to carrying my ds but after that I lurve them. The Sachi is tall enough even for my very tall 21lb to take a nap in and have his head supported if I have him snuggled down real good. I haven't tried a Kozy yet but one is in the mail to me and we will see how that goes. My only problem with a Kozy for me is the natural or black straps. I tend to stay away from both those colors. I do love that the Sachi has padded leg rails. Makes it cozy for my ds legs. I doubt you can go wrong with either choices.

Well, I think  I got my answer yesterday .... I happened to be on TBW and someone posted a used blueish/tealish sachi for only $30.   I was so happy the kids and I were "happy dancing".  So on Tues. I'll be sitting home waiting on the mail man to bring our new mei tai!!!!  and dh can relax that my addiction only cost us $30 - this timeWink [;)]

If there is a 12 step program for this addiction, please don't tell my hubby, yet.Smile [:)]

Actually I feel very blessed to have a hubby, who loves attacment parenting and all that comes with it.

HI Heather, i have an angelpack, sachi and kozy.  Surprisingly I love the kozy it is the most comfortable one!  It is also completely durable.  And, my husband and I both share the kozy.

it is such an addiction!  with my last child I just had 2 ring slings, now I can't stop myself from wanting more, more more!

    Good Luck

Re: Sachi vs. Kozy ..... oh am I addicted!

Hmmmm..... Can I just have one of each?

Honestly, the Sachi and Freehand fit very similarly, Sachi is a bit wider body.  Both very comfy!  I do admit I LOVED the feel of your panel Kozy.  Thanks for letting me try it on.  And thanks for the help with the hotslings!  Loving that, too.

Check this out .... my first attempt at tieing him on my back by myself .... ok 10 yo Mikayla spotted meSmile [:)]  I think I'll get the hand of wearing him on my back in a mei tai quicker than with a wrapWink [;)]

Our new sachi has arrived! YIPEEEEE!!!!!

Re: Sachi vs. Kozy ..... oh am I addicted!

Just had to chime in to say that I LOVE the Sachi, esp. for a back carry. There is just something about it that gives me a perfect carry every single time. I've never had a MT feel so fabulous on my back as that one.

Come to think of it....I need another one. ;)

Re: Sachi vs. Kozy ..... oh am I addicted!

Hmmm...I might need to try a Sachi too.  I have a Kozy and a BH but mostly use wraps but you ladies make it sound and look so nice.  I'm tempted.
