We startee with Quinn at 6 months.  He started signing back to us "milk" and "more" at arounf 10 months.  He started exploding with signs around 14 months - it was so great how well he was communicating!  We visited my family when he really started to get the hang of siging - it was getting close to bedtime - I asked Quinn by signing if he wanted to take a bath and go to bed.  He shook his head "yes" did the sign for "bath" and "bed" and walked right into the bathroom (1 floor house)  My family was amazed!  And I was so proud and happy that all the signing is working for us.

DH kind of laughed at first when I started to sign with Quinn.  He thought it was kind of silly since he was only 6 months - and for months after I started - Quinn would just just stare at me and not respond.  But now that we all can communicate so well through signing - DH is like the spokesperson for signing with your baby - he tells all of his friends how great it is.  I converted him! Yay!
