Negative Breastfeeding views on tonights Season Premier of ER

    Oh I am so mad!

I am watching E.R. (Which USED to be my fav show) and right in the beginning:

A mom walks up to the group or Dr's and asks for a private place to nurse her son because they have been there 3 hours.

Ar the Dr tells her there is a family room down the hall. The womans son (looks to be a pre-schooler) walks up and says "good mom Im starving". All the Dr's pause, smirking and roll eyes at eachother. Making comments like "How old is that kid." And how that creeps them out, he must be at least six.....

Oh that makes me mad! Here we have a show that showcases a "medical community". If they are going to approach the subject of breastfeeding then it should be positive, and use messages supported by the WHO.

To show breastfeeding in anyway negative makes me soooo mad.

I haven't been able to watch ER since I had children. I hate to see pregnant moms with things wrong, sick kids, and even worse things happen. It really is too bad that show display BF in that light. There are so many bennefits to BF and they don't magically shut off at a year. You still get amazing health bennefits for both mom and baby.
