    Baby's first birthday party

So my son is turning one this month and I am so excited. I know that I shouldn't go overboard with a party because he's too young to get it but I'm doing it anyway because it's my first kid's first birthday and I'm so excited!!! Party!!! [<:o)]

So, anyway I am curious what everyone else did for their first kid's first birthday. How many people? Gifts? A theme?

WOW I can't believe Logan is almost 1. I did a big party for Hannah. We invited all the relatives and made a huge dinner. I have scaled it down with each child. It is a lot of work, and they get so overwhelmed. It usually takes them all day to open 5 presents, the opening gift thing was always hard for a 1 year old. Enjoy it, and do whatever you want to!

We had a big party for Garrett's 1st.  Our house was too small for a party, so we got a hotel room and invited everyone there.  They were all able to swim with us and we had tons of food.  The gift opening was a joke, I agree, Beth.  LOL  I was the one who opened all of the gifts while he played with the packages.  With Chase, we had a fairly big party at our house.  Family, friends and food.  Aiden. . . who knows??

We had about 35 people at our house for Brady's party, luckily he was born in April and the weather was great so people could eat outside.  For his second birthday party, it was just family and we cooked out and I had some party favors.  We opened up his gifts both times.
