The CatBird Baby Mei Tai Carrier is based on traditional Chinese baby carriers. Use from birth through toddlerhood in front facing in or out, hip, or back carries. Discreet breastfeeding is possible in the front carry. Fit is highly customizable through tying methods.

The CatBird Baby Mei Tai has many innovative features that babies and parents love! The base fabric is a supersoft 100% brushed cotton that is sturdy but snuggly. The print panel features stylish and popular cotton designs from makers such as Alexander Henry, Michael Miller, Free Spirit, and Amy Butler. It also has a hideaway hood, so you can stuff the hood entirely into the carrier body when not in use (you could even stuff a burp cloth inside to make a head pillow!). And our completely unique elastic adjustment loop enables you to decrease the width of the carrier as much or as little as you wish to get a perfect fit for your baby's legs each time.

So inventive!
I have a Catbird Baby MT and I can't wait to try it with a newborn. I love the loops at the bottom to cinch it in. I received mine when my daughter was 18 months old and the body size was just perfect for us. The straps were just long enough to use a twist and rucksack straps in a back carry. The black straps were incredibly soft - the softest I've ever tried. The sewing was perfect and it came professionally packaged. Catbird Baby's aren't as well known as some of the other big brands, but they're one of my favorites.
