Description

Moby D is a wrap-around style baby carrier with the same great comfort as the original Moby Wrap and an extra touch. The Moby D w/Silk is made with a special central fabric panel of non-stretch Thai silk that provides a bit more support. Perfect for feeling a bit more glamourous! The Moby D Wovens are a wonderful combo of a stretchy/woven wrap, and the Moby D Fleece are just the right carrier to cozy up with your precious baby.

What is the difference between the Moby™ Wrap and the Moby™ D?

The main difference between the Moby™ Wrap and the Moby™ D is the distinctive fabric panel in the center. The woven panel is created from woven cotton. While all fabric panels add aesthetically to the Moby™ Wrap, the woven panels add a section of non-stretch fabric to help support the baby.

The edges of the Moby™ D are seamed rather than over-locked, ensuring that the Moby™ D will hold its shape after extended use. Additionally, each end of the Moby™ D is purposely a different length so the knot would be at the side instead of the front or back.

Magical Moby!
Let me first say that I have 3 Moby's. 2 regular Moby's (one in teal, another in chocolate) and a Moby D in the winter white and fleece. While I own two other carriers, the Moby wrap has been dubbed the "magical Moby" in our house. If little L is resisting nap time or seems unusually fussy, out comes the Moby and within seconds/minutes he is calm and usually asleep. It is so magical that everyone seems to want to get in on it (after all you end up feeling like a superhero because baby is so happy in it!). I have pictures with almost every relative in the moby with L! I even have a Moby page in his album! :) I initially bought it because it received such high reviews for being the best for people with back issues (I have arthritis and back issues from an old car accident), and it has not let down. I can wear L in it for hours without hurting. It did take a few tries to feel super confident in getting him in there. But now, I even put him in while walking and don't think twice about it. And as a mama, who loved being pregnant, you just can't beat the closeness that you get from the Moby. Even though my little guy is now 5 months, he still wants his little feeties tucked up inside so he can feel all smushed and cozy! The ONLY downside that I see with the wrap probably more comes from my inability than the wrap itself, but if I want to transfer sleeping L to the bed or wherever, I can't seem to take him out without waking him. I was able to once when I laid down and unwrapped it slowly, but that appears to be a fluke. Oh well, I suspect not every wrap can be perfect, but honestly for the price of this wrap it is worth your peace of mind in being able to comfort your little one! Another mama friend of mine and I joke that the price of this wrap is so cheap because we end up being walking advertisements. I have had people stop me everywhere to ask me about it, if it is comfortable? Does the baby love it? Where did I get it? Is it difficult to put on? etc. The only difference that I found with the fleece panel is that this one stretches out a bit more and so you have to tie it a bit tighter than the jersey knit ones. The Moby rocks! If I had more money, I would buy more! :)
