    Good nursing bra???

Anyone have any recommendations on a good nursing bra?  I wear about a 38E or F so support is important.  However, I would also like to find one that doesn't seem to hang out of tank tops or V-neck tops.  The ones I have, when I wear a tank top the straps show and the side of the bra shows under my arm or both.  When I wear a V-neck you can see the edges of the bra cups.

Why don’t you consult your doctor. That may help.

    Re: Good nursing bra???

I hate nursing bras! That being said, I recently bought one at Kohl's department store that has been the most comfortable one I tried. I don't recall the brand off hand but they really didn't have a huge selection to pick from so you could probably figure it out by trying a few. The one I have is soft cup with wider straps which makes it more comfortable. I swear nursing bras are designed by some man somewhere with absolutely no education in the area. Has anyone else noticed how many nursing bras out there are underwire and if you read any literature on BF it is not recommended! Also, couldn't they add just a little padding?

Can a tell this is a sore topic for me? :) I love BF, just hate the bras!

AMEN GIRL!!!  I HATE them, too.  The ones that I have I liked okay to begin with, but with time I just don't like them. I am always tugging and pulling and adjusting.  And you are SOOOO right, what women in their right mind would design some of these things.  Some that I have seen that I actually liked the look of, when I read the description....they have underwire!!  And yep, they say avoid that because it could cause plugged ducts!  Come on people, just because we are mommies now doesn't mean we don't still want something that looks nice and makes us feel good!!  I got a suggestion on TBW to make my own, but that just doesn't much appeal to me.  So, I will keep searching.  Maybe I just haven't stumbled across the right website yet!

    Re: Good nursing bra???

I finally found one I love. It has no underwire and is padded slightly. Although I don't have a large chest so I'm not sure if it would be comfortable for everyone. The ones I use are Mimi Maternity.

    Re: Good nursing bra???

    hi there,

it might be too late, but i had the same problems till i figured out that the underwire really do not plug anything at all! my midwife, with quite large breasts herself, suggested to give them a try bc they really offer supprt, and if i notice the beginnings of the plugged ducts, i can still prevent them by the normal hot shower method. you might not like this idea, but i wear 36 DD and no problems with underwires. i buy them at mimi maternity and even at target, they have some nicer onces nowadays. good luck though :)

also, i just ordered a sling on this website, does anyone know what mehod they ship with?thnks

Thanks all!  You know what they say, better late than never.  I actually haven't ordered any more yet, so I will check out these new suggestions and maybe something will strike me.  I had thought about trying an underwire, but wasn't too sure.  I may end up getting one just to see how it works for me.  I have always worn underwire until right before I had my DD and I stopped to avoid the plugged ducts.  Maybe I should just give it a shot.

OT here, but Angela, I love the new Avatar of you and Satori.  The new pink carrier you have and that Oopa doo rag look great together!!
