    Distracted baby - help!

My seven month old son is becoming very distracted by anything going on around him while he is nursing. It's becoming very difficult to nurse him and at times I resort to pumping and letting him suck on a bottle. He looks around constantly - so he keeps on stopping nursing and keeps looking around. I think the reason he does okay with the bottle is because he can turn his head around and bring the bottle with him. The only time I am successful in nursing him lately is when he is asleep and first thing in the morning. I never had this problem with my daughter - does anyone have any suggestions? At home I can go into a quiet room and it sometimes helps, but that isn't always possible when I am out of the house. And we are going on a family vacation in a week and I want the ease of breastfeeding rather than having to go to the hotel to pump. I try to make it as quiet as possible, but if anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great!
