So I started back to work about 2 weeks ago. I only work 4 shifts every 2 weeks from 3-11:30PM. So this past weekend was the first time I had been away 3 days in a row. Well, Aiden caught on!!!!! He decided he wasn't going to bottle for Daddy. I don't know if he is upset that I am not home or what. But he decided he would starve while I am gone. Hey, some babies can sleep for 8 hours at night with no feeds, so why not during the day and make up for it when I get home. Unfortunately, it made for a very high needs baby.
So Saturday was a struggle with only a few ounces of bm in his belly until I got home. On Sunday, we brainstormed a little and dh decided he would try to feed him the bottle in the mei tai. Well, it worked!!!! Thank goodness, too, it makes it so much easier to know that the baby is eating. Dh ended up putting Aiden in the mei tai for all of his feeds on Sunday and yesterday. He refused the bottle unless he was snuggled in. It has been the main way for dh to put him to sleep too. I am just so glad that we have discovered babywearing. I am happy that dh had another reason to be supportive, too!
