    Breastfeeding shirts

I am looking for some nursing tops, especially tanks or cool shirts for our upcoming vacation.  Any suggestions for stores or websites to find nursing shirts?  Any suggestions about the kinds of shirts that work better with a MT?  a pouch?

    Thanks for the info!!!

    Re: Breastfeeding shirts

I founda nice variety and inexpensive options at motherhood maternity.  They have sales online which is helpful when you don't have all the time in the world to leave the house and run errands.  When I wear Ana in her sling (pouch style) I find the shirts that pull down over the breast that I am nursing from to be the easiest to manipulate.  The shirts with slits on the sides aren't bad either, I just can't get over constantly checking myself to make sure I am covered.  Good luck and enjoy your vacation.  Megan

    Stacy~

You are in Farmington, right?  We live up in Mendota Heights ... not sure what size you are but I have quite a few nursing things I've been meaning to put on ebay ... just don't have the time ... a denim dress, a few t shirts, I think there is even a tank top.  Let me know if you would like to try meet up and try any of my stuff out.

If you are looking for brand new .... motherhood and motherware have been my favorites ... both online.

    Re: Breastfeeding shirts

I bought a few that I never used. Sort of felt like I wasted my $$ on them. If I had to do it again I would get one of those belly huggers or belly bands ( whatever they're called ) and just wear that under my shirt..Big Smile [:D]

I agree with cvcraven...I have a few shirts I wore maybe once or twice?  I just got a belly hugger from Angela and plan to use a bunch of those with longer shirts like Modbe or Shade.

It's a toob top for your belly. Dina was talking about them at NINO tonight. I think they sound very cool. Are they hot?

One of the Yahoo groups is doing a co-op on corsierre (www.corsierre.com).  It's a nursing tank style.  Great price on the co-op (pm me for details if you're interested).  I used to get by with regular shirts/tanks, but since BW'ing, it's a pain to pull all that shirt up then tuck it back in.  I'm on a quest for something that'll work better.  I'd love to try BOOB, too.  Got a Glamourmom coming also.

The belly hugger isn't too hot, it would just be an extra layer around your belly instead of 2 layers of shirts.  I got a small and it's pretty snug on me.  I can't tell you about the fit on a normal person, but if you are pregnant or carry most of your weight past your waist, I would size up.  You pull the belly hugger on like a pair of pants so it's got to get over your hips and thighs before making it to your belly if that makes any sense.

I really like Boob shirts. You can buy them at www.milkface.com (at least I think that it the website--I'll check)

They are very fitted and therefore a bit more stylish, IMO, than other types.

    Re: Breastfeeding shirts

I like glamourmom nursing tanks.  You can make any shirt into a nursing shirt with them and they now have a longer "maternity" version which is not any bigger around but much longer.  They have a built in bra too!

I'm waiting on my glamourmom to arrive. How are they support-wise?  I'm thinking they won't be THAT supportive.

    Re: Breastfeeding shirts

I don't have a lot to support, so I'm not sure how they'd be if I did. LOL

I think that they are a little bit troublesome to manage with one hand, but otherwise great tanks.

    Re: Breastfeeding shirts

That is my issues also. . . too much to support!  Are they suuportive at all?  I have trouble with bra-in tanks not being supportive enough, too.  Now I am looking for button down tanks since I've pretty much struck out on the nursing tops.  Only two more weeks to find something for vacation!
