Attached to Baby

I used Palmers when I was preggers with Brady and DH got me Mustela PostPartum stuff.  I am just wondering what you have tried and if it worked.  Should I stick with the Palmers?  I was looking at some new lines at the store today and wondered if anyone here has tried them.

The lady at the store was trying to sell me on these newer products but the price tag leaves me a little weary...any advice mamas?

Why can't each child share the stretch marks? With each one I got new stretch marks. I mean my 1st had a good start for the boys, they share toys, but not skin.

I haven't really used anything for them. I am always scared to put stuff on when pregnant, I don't want to hurt the baby.

I just used lots of lotion this time around.  I am happy to say NO new stretch marks this time around!!!  Guess the skin was still stretched out from before! 

I have to say I am so very blessed that even on my 8th pregnancy,  I don't have a single stretch mark.  Genitics I suppose.  I do use palmers though,  for ecezema.  And I love to grease my babies up with it after being outside all day.

My advice is get the EXTRA EXTRA dry skin bodywash, use that in the shower then towel off but still damp use the palmer's and then apply the parmer's again at night(if you take a morning shower)...Make sure though that you do your hips and backside as well as your tummy! I got my tummy last time but forgot my sides But they ended up being white and not really noticable unless you were looking...but still! Also some have said using Vit. E oil also works.(you can get it in the vitamin aisle)

I rarely used lotion when I was pregnant and I have no stretch marks. I only gained 19 lbs though so I think that had a lot to do with it. My mom has horrible stretch marks from having my sis and I but she also gained around 50 lbs each time. I thought I was destined to have stretch marks since my mom had them so bad but I really think that the amount of weight you gain has a lot to do with it. I was also in pretty good shape pre-pregnancy so maybe that had something to do with it as well?

Stretch marks start in the lower layers of the skin so I can't see how lotion can help much.

Lots and lots of Palmers :) That stuff really does work. My whole family got stretch marks, and I was told I wouldn't be able to avoid them...

I made a huge purchase of palmers and used it loyally several times a day... 41 pounds later no marks!!!!! :)
