Attached to Baby

Any suggestions on car seats..... likes, dislikes, safety ratings etc? I am just beginning to look and like everything else in the baby retail world its a little overwhelming. thanks!

You may not need this any more but consumer reports did an article on car seats a few months ago.  They had to retract it because they tested the seats at a 70 mph equivalent instead of a 30 mph equivalent but they had 3 seats pass at the higher speed.  Just a thought but I would choose one that passed at 70 mph.  Also car seats that supposedly convert from baby to toddler to booster are a pain.  It costs a little more but buy a new one at each stage for easier use.
