Kristen is the other lucky co-winner of this prize and received $500 Shopping Spree. Her entry is special because an entire group called the Magic City Slingers submitted photos on behalf of their group! Kristen was the photographer of one of the members, and the sling is a beautiful double layered Sleeping Baby Productions sling.

Magic City Slingers is a local babywearing group (Birmingham, Alabama) with 44 dues-paying members, with usually about 25 people at monthly meetings and over 100 on the listserv.  Kristen is one of the group leaders, and the co-leader Susie also sent in photo entries (Susie is president of Babywearing International). The $500 will help fund their wonderful lending library!

Entry #3 Winner is "Panama Hopp Blue Mountain Lake"

Annie is the winner of this prize and received $100 Shopping Spree. She would like to share these words with us:

"After a nerve racking drive around the snow covered rim of Crater Lake, I was more than happy to get out of the car, wrap my son on my back, and take a walk. The view was absolutely incredible. I have never seen anything like this clear blue mountain lake, and all we could do was stand there and stare in amazement. I wish this photo (taken by my dear husband) could truly show the wonder, color, and size of this lake.We already have plans to visit again next summer when the road is a bit less treacherous."

Entry #4 is Juliet, who wins our "Best Wrapper Babywearer"! Juliet has accepted her prize and she truly deserves this award. I've invited her to say something to our readers, and hope she shares what its like to experiment with different wraps and positions with her two beautiful babies!

When I think of beautiful mama/baby wrap photos, Juliet always comes to mind. Juliet also has other photos that have won another category ( Best Multiple/Pregnant babywearer) and came in second on the Best Dad Babywearer), but since we are only allowing one person to win one time, we are giving her the better of the prizes!

Olya is well-known around the babywearing community for her astonishingly beautiful photography and is a photogenic model to boot! I love her use of composition and color! She is truly inspiring me to pursue photography as a hobby myself! :)

Olya will receive a $100 Shopping Spree. We are proud she entered and her photo currently at the top of our community graces our site now. We hope to hear back from Olya soon to hear her thoughts on photography.

BEST ACTION BABYWEARER - $100 Shopping Spree

Entry #4 is "Now THAT's Babywearing! (hiking w/3 kids and 2 dogs)"

It's an understatement to say that Julia impressed us with her awesome feat of wearing 3 children while hiking with her 2 dogs! Alot of people voted just to show what you can do with baby carriers, and this brought many a smile to people's day!

Julia will receive a $100 Shopping Spree! Here is Julia's response:

We’re an active family, and baby-wearing has allowed us to maintain a high level of freedom.  Our firstborn hiked the Na Pali trail on Kauai when he was just 3 months old.
 
Although my older son never used a stroller (wearing him was much easier and more comfortable for both of us), everyone assured me I would be unable to wear my twins; especially with a toddler under 2 in the house.  I was pleased to learn wearing two (or 3) was possible – it only required a bit more creativity.  We still hike this way (all 85 pounds of boys and I), but I only carry my 3 year old when he’s tired or hurt.
