What's best for back, neck, shoulder issues?

I have tried the Over the Shoulder Baby Holder, Snugli, and Baby Bjorn models and every one hurt my low back (usually after about 15 minutes or so), pulled my shoulders and made my neck hurt.  I have pain, shoulder issues anyway, so these just aggravated the problem and I had to stop using them pretty early in my baby's life.

I really want to use a baby sling with my next baby (due in August) and am doing lots of homework on what model and/or holds would work best.   Please advise if you personally have knowledge in this area and have found what works.

     Thank you in advance!

I don't know about slings, but I know that I love my Freehand Mei Tai and it's very comfortable. The sutemi is also extremely comfortable, but is only for use with babies 4 months and up. I hope you find something!

I think a structured carrier like an Ergo might be a good idea or a 2 shouldered carrier like a Kozy might also work. If you want a more traditional ringsling, I love the ones at www.sleepingbaby.net

I have a bad back and use a Mei tai.  I find the ones with wide shoulder straps and light padding extremely comfortable and have no pain from it at all.
