Attached to Baby

It has come to my attention that some people are uploading the same image or similar over and over and what-not.

The contest will end tonight, but I will have to go through and delete images that are the same or invalid. I'm super swamped at this time, but I need to do this in order to make a fair contest for everyone. I also don't want superfluous images taking up precious hard drive space.

Basically if it isn't a photo you aren't proud enough to have on the front page of a website, it will be taken off. (Not that I will display them all on the front page of a website, lol!)

I just need to have some criteria on the quality of images. The point of the contest is to get some nice babywearing photos shared with all.

Ok I'm going through now and deleting photos that are duplicates.

I cannot emphasize how far behind I am in my business, and deleting photos is not the way I want to spend my day. It takes me almost an hour to delete just one minute of photos uploaded that are all the same. I'm referring to seeing thousands of the same photo uploaded in a matter of a few minutes... My warning is next time I find this, I just delete the entire gallery.

It wastes valuable web server space, bandwidth and people's time.

I think I can probably speak for most by saying, don't bother.  Your time is too valuable and your family needs you.  Disqualify the person and skip it.  If it was an accident, wonderful.  If not, delete the entire gallery and be done with it.

 We really appreciate you doing this contest - it shouldnot be an added burden on your live.  Shame on those who are making it so.

  

I agree with Melanie...if it was accident that's one thing (although I don't get how it could be...) and if not, delete the entire gallery.

I'm sorry this has become such a hassle for you Angela.  I hate to see some people abusing the contest this way. (((hugs)))   You were sweet to offer up this contest, and I'm sorry it's taking time away from other things you could be doing.

 

I can tell you how it can be an accident. I think I have five duplicates in mine because I was using some software to upload the pictures and, for some reason, it uploaded some of them twice when the site when down and I had to redo it. I just haven't had a chance to go through, find them and delete them yet. Of course, not all of mine have tags either. However, if someone is just uploading the same ones over and over and over and over again, that certainly isn't right.

Okay...now I am getting super paranoid. I have a lot of images in my gallery uploaded from hikes and I think they might be viewed as similar...Are you guys talking about me ? I know I'm not going to win the contest (too much competetion) and it doesn't matter to me (although it is an awesome contest). I just thought I would upload a lot my hike images because I couldn't decide and I thought other mamas would appreciate the scenery and the different views of the wraps...just tell me if you want me to thin them a bit. I'm sorry if you are talking about me!

I know I'm probably one of those. I took a lot of similar pictures because I was just trying to keep up. :-/

That is really sad - I was wondering actually if I was supposed to do that - I have some carriers I have in 1000 angles, but I only uploaded one of each, mostly - so I doubt I have the big winning number [:'(] -
